Your Aha Moment

We’ve all heard the stories,

Someone who had an extreme spiritual transformation and completely changed their life immediately.

Someone who had a genius idea that hit them like a bolt of lightning.

Someone who’s known since they were a little human what they wanted to do with their life.

Sure, these things do happen, but I’d like to remind you that these stories are the exception, not the rule.

I remember distinct moments in my previous job where I would see people taking extreme measures to quit their jobs and follow their dreams, and thinking “damn, that’s so awesome. They’re so lucky. I wish I had my “thing” so I could escape this job and follow my dreams… but I don’t think that path is for me.”

There’s almost this transformation or dream-following jealousy. Have you experienced this?

I like to call it “waiting for the Aha! Moment”.

Like you’re sitting around waiting for massive inspiration and transformation to strike. Wondering why other people are lucky enough to figure out their passion, their “thing”, and take extreme measures to live the lives of their dreams. But you’re not.

First of all, a dream life is not reserved for a select few. There’s nothing that makes Sally more qualified or more “lucky” to be able to live the life she wants.

Secondly, it doesn’t always happen like a bolt of lightning. Those are just the glam instances we hear about. And usually they don’t happen overnight like that anyway… there tends to be a lot of intention and work before a person starts really living their dream life. (and p.s. “dream lives” still require work).

So, if you feel like you aren’t “living your best life” as the cool kids say these days, take the pressure off. You aren’t unlucky, unworthy, or undeserving.

Here’s the trick.

Instead of waiting or being disappointed, take small daily or weekly actions to uncover your passion(s) and bring more of it into your daily life.

What the heck does that mean and how do you do it?

This is my jam. I love helping people break down the cues and energy signals in their lives to tap into the things that bring them the most joy and use of their unique talents.

Lately I’ve been super into studying (and practicing) how to hone in on your Zone of Genius and use that as a filter for what you say yes or no to.

I’m putting the finishing touches on my Passion Map Method that will help you do just this. I’m super pumped to share this freebie with you because I truly believe it’s the simple daily actions that make life richer and more fulfilling.

If you want to go ahead and get started with some personalized research around your passions(s), shoot me message or comment below and I can share my Spark Journal tool with you. It’s a simple first step I use with my clients who are looking to unlock more of their interests and passions.

Mindfulness in Action:

  • If you feel like you haven’t found your “thing” yet, relax. It’s ok. It’s there, it just takes a little excavating. Everything you’re doing now is leading you to exactly where you need to go.

  • Hit me up to get your Spark Journal (or dust yours off… I know many of you have one started) and use that to pull more passion into your day to day.

  • Bask in the joy of the surprise… who knows what you may uncover that will change the trajectory of your life! Isn’t that exciting?? (or maybe it makes you anxious, I get that too, but what’s a helpful mindset you can employ?)

You’re right where you need to be. No pressure, just life and opportunity.

Cheers,
Elizabeth
